BAR Single Cell Data Portal Now Available in Beta!
September 28th, 2026
The BAR Single Cell Data Portal is now available in beta! Developed with input from C-SPIRIT and the Plant Cell Atlas, this new resource brings together tools and datasets to make plant single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data easier to explore and visualize. The portal features a curated collection of scRNA-seq datasets, a CellxGene instance for exploring 14 datasets from six publications, and the new SUPeR Viewer, which combines scRNA-seq UMAPs with eFP pictographs to visualize gene expression across inferred plant cell types in a pseudospatial context. By making complex plant data more accessible to researchers, this resource supports C-SPIRIT’s mission to advance collaborative, data-driven approaches to understanding and improving plant resilience.
